Reading the Bible in a Year: September reading plan

How to read the Bible chronologically in a year...with your child

2020 is quite the year to decide to dive deep into the prophets, where we get the gritty details about the years of exile and loss and heartbreak for the Israelites. I’m feeling it.

But the good news is, we’re starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Ezra and Nehemiah will lead the Israelites back home to Jerusalem, in the heart of their Promised Land, to meet the remnant there and rebuild the temple. It isn’t going to go perfectly, but there is some home.

Because soon, after just 400 short years of silence (haha), the Messiah will finally arrive. I can hardly wait.

If you’re behind, that’s fine. Don’t stop now! This September plan can just as easily be October or November; no worries. Just keep on reading, because you really, really want to get to the good news that’s coming soon.
